About the network
Lakeland Businesswomen's Network is a networking group for women in business in south Cumbria.
Set up in January 2006, the group is run by the members for the members.
The annual subscription is only £25 and non members are welcome to attend any of our meetings for just £3. We have 57 paid-up members and well over 60 interested parties on our regular emailing list.
We meet monthly, on the third Thursday of every month, alternating between morning and evening speaker and networking meetings, in a variety of venues across the area to make sure the widest pool of members can come along. At every meeting members get a chance to air success stories, business problems, advertise events and network. We also hold subsidised training days on business topics such as presentational skills, marketing and finance.
So, whatever your line of business, please get in touch, and we hope to see you at our next meeting.
For our 12 month programme of events please click on Coming Up or to see a calendar with useful meeting dates, events and courses click on Meetings and Events. Application forms are available to download in the Notice Board section.
Big Thanks
We would like to thank all the members and visitors who came to our social event at Hawkshead Brewery, Staveley on Thursday 21st February. We had a fantastic evening with brewery tours, beer tasting and a brilliant fund raising auction.
Thanks to all the generous members who gave donations and to all the generous bidders we managed to raise over £1,000!!! The money will help the LBN carry on running and enable us to put on great future events.
The committee would like to thanks everyone who made the evening happen, especially to Terrie who did a brilliant job as auctioneer (pictured right), and was here on holiday from the USA. Please go to the Notice Board to download the article from Cumbria Life.
