Janine John
Janine founded Lakeland Business Services in January 2007, to provide small businesses with the flexible support they need, when they need it. Since that time she has worked with clients from various sectors on both short-term projects and on a long-term basis, specialising in communication and research.
Assignments have included: communication and social media planning; marketing research; academic-style research; long-term monitoring of media and internet sources for clients specialist in their field; copywriting and information design; graphic design; telephone research; office management including organisation of research resources; and virtual PA/co-ordinator roles.
Memorable projects include:
- transcribing historical manuscripts and scanning a large quantity of accompanying photographs.
- designing, selecting material and writing link narrative for a small-run historical keepsake book.
- researching and producing a report based on a complex client brief – the report achieved far more than anticipated, with significant financial results.
Janine is currently completing her research dissertation in visual communication, towards an MA in Professional Communication. She completed her second year (equivalent to the post-graduate diploma) with distinction, achieving distinctions in modules on social media, visual communication and 'language and writing'.
Janine has been a member of LBN since 2007 and was previously a committee member.
