With a talk from our chosen charity Sight Advice – Sight Advice South Lakes is dedicated to empowering and improving the quality of life for people who are blind or partially sighted.

Sight is the sense people fear losing the most….

Claire Park, Chief Executive of Sight Advice South Lakes leads a team of passionate and highly motivated individuals working together to make a real difference to the lives of people living with sight loss. Claire will give an overview of the work the Charity does locally and talk about the challenges faced by a local independent charity. Particularly when the demand for services is increasing, but the money pot is shrinking. 

This meeting is free for members, guest welcome at £12 which includes tea & coffee.

Claire has held senior-level positions in the voluntary and community sector for c.20 years, previously working at national and local level for Age UK and Alzheimer’s Society.
